Rinchenbung Scenic Area: Tibetan Buddhism and Primitive Forest

Rinchenbung Monastery, also known as the Lotus Holy Land, is located on the Drolmalha Mountain in Medog Town, about 6 km southeast of Medog County, Nyingchi, Xizang.

It is said that the construction of the Rinchenbung Monastery was presided over by Ganbuba Rinpoche.

With a history of more than 200 years, it is the earliest and largest monastery of Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism in Medog County. In recent years, the Medog County Government has strengthened the upgrading and reconstruction of the Rinchenbung Scenic Area.

Relying on tourism resources such as characteristic primitive forests and villages, it has built footpaths and homestays to develop characteristic rural tourism.
