On March 16, the annual spring ploughing ceremony is held in Lhasa, Tibet. 

Villagers dressed in festive costumes and hold Chema boxes (a rectangular wooden box filled with roasted Tsampa and fried wheat grain, which means a good harvest), sang prayer songs, offered highland barley wine and sowed to the fields, looking forward to a good harvest.
