During the national two sessions in 2020, he submitted a proposal to "strengthen talent construction, discipline construction and medical equipment updating in the people’s hospitals in counties and cities in Tibet ". The suggestion was quickly put into practice, and the government continued to expand the scope of group medical assistance work in Tibet, and more and more people in farming and pastoral areas could see doctors without long travelling. In 2021, Tashi Gyaltsen was appointed as deputy secretary of the CPC Committee of Doyu Lhoba Ethnic Township and head of the township’s government. Since taking office, he has traveled almost every inch of the countryside and visited most of the people, gaining an in-depth understanding of border construction, production and life of the people in the border areas, and safeguarding of the border areas. At present, the three administrative villages in Doyu Lhoba Ethnic Township have been built into well-off villages with Internet access, tap water, and basic roads. The food, clothing, housing and transportation of the people have been greatly improved. In 2022, the township's per capita annual income exceeded 26,000 yuan.
