[Tibet over decade] Medical and Health Service Over the past decade, Tibet has continuously improved its medical and health services to ensure the health and safety of the masses. -Echinococcosis, Kaschin-beck disease, congenital heart disease, cataracts and other endemic diseases in Tibet have been eliminated or prevented. -Tibetan medicinal bath method has been included in UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. -The maximum reimbursement rate for hospitalization expenses for urban and rural residents in Tibet is 90%. -Tibet has three state-level regional diagnosis and treatment centers of Tibetan medicine, one university of Tibetan medicine and 17 manufacturers of Tibetan medicine. -There are more than 20,000 medical workers at all levels and of all types in Tibet.
