Herdsmen in northern Tibet begin to migrate

Mid-to-late September is the best time for pasture migration on the grasslands of northern Tibet. Herders and livestock leave summer pastures at dawn and move to winter pastures in cols to avoid the harsh winter plateau environment. The custom of pasture migration has been a nomadic culture that has been passed down for thousands of years, witnessing the never-changing agreement between herdsmen and nature.
