The story of Tibetan and Han businessmen in Chengdu

In streets nearby the Wuhou Shrine in Chengdu, capital city of southwest China's Sichuan Province, there distribute nearly a hundred stores of Tibetan feature. In addition to the sale of Tibetan Buddhist supplies, there are Tibetan food, Tibetan clothing, Tibetan carpets, Tibetan books, Tibetan audio-visual products, Tibetan medicine, and so on, which are full of life.

A're, from Danba County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan province, is more than 50 years old this year. Eight years ago, she opened the A're Tibetan Restaurant, the first Tibetan restaurant of Chengdu, opposite to the shrine.

Familiar with the Tibetan cuisine cooking skills, A're firstly took the dish "Yak Meat Covered by Pancakes" to Chengdu, now almost every Tibetan restaurant in Chengdu have this dish. As the business grew, she opened several branches successively.

Amu, a staff of the restaurant told reporter, in order to make Tibetan people working outside of their hometown to eat the taste of home, the yak meat, Tibetan pig bacon, pickled cabbage and other ingredients used in the restaurant are all transported from Danba County to Chengdu. And staffs working together with Amu are all her Tibetan fellows from Garze and Aba , and they feel the work and life here is very good.
